Loi Yang Bum Community Development (LCD) received its official certificate in 2014. LCD focuses on livelihoods, peace education and gender sensitivity. LCD has its origins in the Parish Development Team, which was nominated as a Sub-Department for Community Development Affairs under the supervision of the Mohyin Regional Catholic church. LCD’s organizational vision is to improve community living standards and wellbeing, and foster the development of peace, through grassroots actions. LCD focuses on working with Kachin, Shan, Bama, Hindu, and other diverse ethnic groups, with programmatic focus on livelihoods and food security, women’s empowerment, civic engagement and peace, advocacy and networking, and CBO strengthening.
Under the DPP, the LCD is implementing activities on livelihoods, peace education and gender sensitivity.
