In 2004, Meikswe Myanmar (MFF) was founded to address health issues of women, children, orphans, and people living with HIV/ AIDS. Since then, the organization has also grown to implement educational programs, provide emergency support to those who are affected by disaster and help to build the capacity of local organizations in Yangon, Lashio, Sittwe and Myeik Island. Meikswe Myanmar with the support of its partners, has drawn up a Strategic Plan for 2018 to 2022, strengthening it programs and developing a clear organizational goal, vision, mission and values. Meikswe Myanmar’s main office is located in Lashio, however the organisation supports project implementation in the following locations: Lashio (Northern Shan State); Sittwe (Rakhine State); Naung U (Mandalay Region); Yangon and Moken Island (Myeik).
Under the DPP, Meikswe Myanmar is implementing activities on livelihoods and women’s leadership.
